Learning Initiatives

Go beyond surveys and dashboards to correlations and causation — and connect your training programs to bottom-line business results. Determine what to measure, how to measure and, most importantly, how to use knowledge gained to develop initiatives that yield real impact.

Your learning organization just got smarter.

Measurement Strategy for Learning

Develop a framework for any level of measurement
You know that you need to measure the impact of your learning and development initiatives to prove value and to continue to improve your offerings. But where do you start, how far should you go, what does it take? In this engagement we collaborate with you to build a customized Measurement Strategy for a learning program, a curriculum or for your entire learning organization.

Deliverable: Measurement Strategy, including:

  • Measurement objectives
  • Guidelines for each measurement level (what, how and how much)
  • Deployment and reporting recommendations
  • Identification of business metrics

Measurement Map

Create a blueprint to align your initiatives with business outcomes.
To achieve business impact, your learning initiatives must be intentionally aligned with your organization’s strategy. This workshop gathers cross-disciplinary stakeholders to define what success looks like – linking your initiative to ultimate business outcomes, and identifying the leading indicators along the way. Creating this “causal chain” defines the metrics that will guide the initiative and ultimately measure its success and improve its future performance.

Deliverable: Measurement Map – a visual plan illustrating the causal chain that links your initiative to leading indicators, business results and strategic goals.

Demographic Insights

Take a fresh look at employee data for new perspectives on your audience and your intervention.
Once an intervention is in place, segmenting and evaluating participant vs. non-participant data provides keen insight into the demographics of who is engaged in the training (and who is not). Often, this requires pulling data from multiple sources, but these insights explore how specific audience segments are responding, ensuring that future decisions are based on actual participant data – not simply overall averages. Other factors, such as turnover and retention, can also be evaluated for trained vs. untrained by audience segment.

Deliverables: Demographic Insights, including:

  • Data Requirements Map
  • Data transformation, aggregation and segmentation
  • Data Insights Report

Business Impact & Optimization Analysis

Use data-driven insight to prove and isolate the value of today’s initiatives and improve future investments
By leveraging organizational data, advanced statistics and predictive analytics methodology, a business impact study reveals — with statistical certainty – the isolated and quantifiable impact of your program, which employees are benefiting the most, and how deployment could be modified for even greater impact. Information is integrated into clear, actionable reports that enable organizations to make informed decisions that are grounded in sound research and supported by hard findings.

Deliverables:

  • Measurement Map
  • Demographic Insights
  • Business Impact & Optimization Report, including:
    • Data analysis models for statistical significance and causation
    • Analysis of current impact and opportunities for optimization
